Apolka Ujj

Apolka Ujj is an agricultural engineer, environmental management engineer and assistant professor specialized in and teaching sustainable and ecological farming, social farming and soil tillage. She is a member of the Hungarian Agroecological Network and she is focusing on the potential of social farming in agroecology. 

“Social farming is considered a fundamental practice that affects not only agricultural activity but other key sectors such as health care, social services, environment and employment, to promote sustainable and inclusive growth in rural and often marginalised areas. The main focus of the presentation is the potential of social farming within agroecology as it provides a sustainable agriculture production combined with social function.”
